Sorin Petrus profiled among BUSINESS Magazin’s 100 Top Young Managers

Sorin Petrus, Partner and Chief Delivery Officer at WE AS WEB, is one of the managers featured in BUSINESS Magazin’s 2026 catalogue of 100 Top Young Managers. The profile ran in September and was republished by Ziarul Financiar in October.

Sorin was the company’s second employee. Since then WE AS WEB has grown past 1,200 people in roughly four years, and it closed 2025 with consolidated revenue above €66 million and estimated EBITDA of about €10 million. He brings more than 16 years in IT, with earlier work at small firms, startups and large multinationals.

His remit covers delivery and the client relationships that depend on it. He also works on presales for new leads and takes part in strategic decisions, especially around AI. He told the magazine he doesn’t keep these activities apart, because what is agreed in presales shapes the quality of delivery, and delivery is what keeps a client for the long term.

This year’s catalogue looks at managers who carry more than one role. Sorin sees his as overlapping ones (leading delivery teams, acting as a business partner to clients, and helping set the company’s direction on AI) and argues they reinforce each other when they are managed deliberately. He measures success by whether the teams and systems he builds keep working without him in every detail, and he treats work-life balance as non-negotiable.

WE AS WEB is targeting at least 40% revenue growth in 2026, driven mainly by larger enterprise projects, which is the work his delivery organisation carries.
